Brass Nock Memo - NASP Board of Directors - July 3, 2007

The NASP Board of Directors establish a Rules and Regulation change that will be effective for the 2009 NASP Nationals.  The NASP strongly suggest that all NASP archers remove the brass nock from their bowstring.  Instead, archers should use a "tie-on" nock  or the factory heat shrink nock.  NASP archers will be permitted to compete at the State and National levels for the 2007-2008 school years with a brass nock.  The NASP will require 100% compliance in the 2008-2009 school year.  The NASP has removed the brass nock locators as well as the nock pliers from the NASP archery supply box.  These items will be replaced by 75 yards of "tie on nock" material.
